Come and learn macro nature photography! Through my workshops I aim to inspire and guide individuals into the captivating world of nature macro photography. Whilst also exploring a different side of the beautiful Greek island of Zakynthos.
I want budding photographers to realise that it isn’t necessary to own expensive, high-end camera gear to capture stunning images of the natural world. The best camera is the one you have in your hands and it’s up to you to learn how to get the best out of it! I won’t deny that high-end cameras have their place. For most of us, an affordably priced pre-loved camera with a decent pre-loved macro lens will do,
Macro photography allows us to explore the intricate details of insects, flowers, and natural textures that often go unnoticed. By learning the techniques and creative approaches to macro photography, you can develop a deeper connection to nature and really learn to appreciate its hidden wonders. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced photographer, my aim is to provide you with valuable tips and insights to enhance your skills without having to invest in costly ‘must-have’ equipment.

What To Expect During Our Time Together…
After a brief, not too technical, introduction into macro photography, off we will wander into nature. Observing it’s beauty and looking for tiny inspiration! I will then guide you on how to approach taking the photograph, before stepping back to allow you to capture the moment! I want you to get lost in what you see through the lens!… All the while I will be watching your style and advising you on how you might be able to improve your chances of getting ‘that’ photo.
A Take Away From Your Experience…
My hope is that when we finish our time together you walk away with a renewed respect for nature and feeling, excuse the pun, a ‘buzz’. The same buzz I still feel every time I go out with my camera. I want you to walk away having learned more than just macro nature photography. I want you to have learned a little about the nature on Zakynthos and that it has more to offer than sun, sand, and sea!

‘That photo’ is rarely captured in the first click of the shutter. What you see in any photographers gallery is the best of what might have been hundreds of photographs taken. Take inspiration from what you see, but resist comparing your photography to that of someone else’s! After all your photography journey and your vision are your own, try to stay true to yourself and your vision!
